Lincoln Premium Poultry Economic Impact Study

The Lincoln Premium Poultry (LPP) facility in Fremont, Nebraska, has developed an ecosystem for raising and processing poultry in eastern Nebraska, including facilities for hatching, feeding, and processing birds as well as affiliated poultry barns. The facility is also a headquarters location and home to trained technicians who provide services to affiliated poultry barns. The LPP investment is also an interesting example of an appropriate economic development project, given that it meshes well within Nebraska’s agricultural production cluster. This study from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Bureau of Business Research (BBR) provides an annual economic and tax revenue impact estimate of LPP on the Nebraska economy. The study was sponsored by the Nebraska Economic Developers Association to examine the project 5 years after production began.
